There has been much speculation about the email Elon Musk sent to Tesla employees on Sunday night, in which he said that those who cannot return to work or do not want to leave should leave immediately. Some people speculate that this is just a way to weed out underperforming employees, but there is actually a more logical explanation for why Musk would send an email like this.

The main reason is that Tesla is facing a serious cash crisis. The company has been burning money at an alarming rate, and it needs to start generating revenue ASAP. Getting employees back to work is the best way to do that.
Of course, there are other reasons why Musk wants employees to return to work. He is under a lot of pressure keep his promisesAnd the sooner Tesla starts producing cars again, the better.
